Thank you for your generous support
In order for new programs to be initiated and for our current programs to continue, Friends of Killarney Park must rely on generous corporate and private donations. Friends of Killarney Park is actively seeking corporate sponsors who can share in our enthusiasm for 'Friends' projects, and provide financial support that ensure that these programs continue.
La Cloche -
Leaders $5000+ - Donors $500 - $999 Less than two billion years ago, the La Cloche Range towered as high as the Rockies. One million years ago, the ice age, advancing and retreating several times over, scoured the quartzite peaks. Weathered by the passage of time, the spectacular La Cloche unfolded. The 100 kilometre La Cloche Silhouette hiking trail, rugged yet exquisite, is dedicated to the memory of Group of Seven Artist Franklin Carmichael and named after his painting "La Cloche Silhouette".
Silver Peak -
Leaders $2500 -$4999 - Donors $250 - $499 Silver Peak is the highest, mightiest point along the La Cloche Range. It rises 539 metres above sea level. On a clear day, it affords a 360-degree panoramic view of Killarney Provincial Park.
Granite Ridge -
Leaders $1000 - $2499 - Donors $100 - $249 The smooth, round surfaces of the pink granite outcrops of the Granite Ridge are the result of glaciers moving across the landscape during the last ice age. The outcrops were scored and polished with time. The striking contrast of the white quartzite is a sight to behold.
